So a new page is turning - the Bubbles have migrated to the floor and to the whole pen. Whelping box days are over.
Faced with the choice of two mothers there was an immediate 50/50 vote and only little Bordeaux was unable to make up her mind.
The, curious choice, after five minutes, of the surrogate mother over the biological mother was interesting.

If Bordeaux goes on hesitating any longer - the milk bars will be empty !

So Bubbles' babies are now 5 weeks old.
Bubbles is still a permanent attentive milk-bar excepting the three periods a day when they eat their meals.
They never finish their bowls and are not gluttons.
Turquoise is an alpinist and manages to climb out with dexterity, using the pen panels as a ladder and runs wagging round the nursery, very pleased with herself.
All very sociable and human-orientated.
Well-done Bubbles !

What is great is that they hit 10 times their birth-weight at 5 1/2 weeks.
That's my "barometer" - 10 times b/w by 6 weeks.

well it's decidedly difficult to keep nine 7-weeks' old puppies facing me on a bench while i try to get a photo where everyone is visible.
so i looked at my little black puppies and i asked them "do you know what obama said ?" and they shook there little heads. so i told them. he said "yes we can" and turquoise burst out laughing.
it's raining. it's cold. but it may get worse before they leave so . . . yes we can !

Is the extraordinary follow up of "Prototype of T.W." born on December 15th 1979 (yes, 36 years ago) and who was owned by this new owner's parents when he was . . . 3 months old ! He has gone to live in the Paris area.
