The person who adopted Chatterbox at the beginning of April - has put him to sleep. She never answered the phone, never gave me news and now I just discover on a public page that she has got rid of him. I am devastated. Semper Fidelis has lost her Daddy, I have lost 13 years of a true Labrador. I have also lost faith in another human being.
A sad update for all those still wondering about Chatterbox. . . Chatterbox was put to sleep 3 days ago, and as usual - she lied to cover the fact that she never bothered to contact me or to answer me. He was and will ever have been MY DOG, nobody else’s and certainly not hers, and will always be a part of Tintagel Winds and a part of my heart. A kind, gentleman who makes one love the breed just that much more. And his daughter, Semper Fidelis, sitting here at my feet carries all I loved and respected about him into the future. Never to be forgotten. Rest In Peace sweet boy -- a le cœur brisé.

Chatterbox and his daughter Joy. A truly lovely dog producing lovely progeny. Coming up to ten years' old. His expression tells everything about his sweet and gentle nature.
Not only does Chatterbox loathe shows (oh dear, C.G.A. in Paris here we come on February 26th) but he hates my taking pictures too and always puts his "why do I put up with this" face on - so I snuck this one when he was otherwise occupied !

The kindest, sweetest, most gentle Labrador in the world. In ten years he has produced 16 litters for me of beautiful sound black babies who have grown up to give pleasure to their owners in many fields of work all over the world.
Sad that because he doesn't care for shows and is pure black he has been "used" at stud only four times by other kennels (sad for his qualities not being used, I'm not talking about stud fees - I bought him for my bitches)

Kind of inevitably growing old, though the eyes are bright and the teeth are white . . . Foulby Still Talking (Chatterbox) and Falling In Love of T.W. (Love) now 10 and 9 respectively.
FOULBY STILL TALKING (Chatterbox) - Eleven years' old ! Keen eyes, good hearing, white teeth, sweet breath. He's doing well !

07/06/2021 HAPPY BIRTHDAY to CHATTERBOX (Foulby Still Talking) the sweetest boy in the world, totally dependable, sound, kind and caring and father to 131 TINTAGEL WINDS black babies over his 12 YEARS - including the 5 babies in the nursery at the moment, (who are also Carromer Charlie Chalk's grandchildren) undoubtedly his last ones but what a pleasure for me when today is June 7th 2021 and he was born on June 7th 2009. (And Charlie was born in 1991, I'm so, so happy and grateful to have this genetic combination) Long may you live Chatterbox
