I have just received this sweet photo of a "framed Granny" from Mimi's retirement home in Switzerland where she leads a pampered and happy life. Coming up to 11 years' old.
She was Best Retriever in France (all breeds) in 2010 and Best Labrador in 2011. Now she's just Best Friend but it's undoubtedly the rôle and the title she prefers.
Mimi is the proud grandmother of NEVER & O.P.I. also of MEG

Received a lovely new photo of Mimi this morning, asleep in her garden opposite me on the other side of the lake in Switzerland.
Now eleven and a half years of age with a good hour's walk at 7 a.m. every morning, she obviously enjoys her life, her garden and the lake.
And I measure the pleasure she gave me and what she did for the breed when I look at her children and her grand-children here today.
Mother to Hello Tomorrow and Have One On Me (sired by Carpenny Made A Million) and also to Jewel In Pure Gold (sired by Dolbia Le Mans)
Grandmother to Mega Hugging Sunday (fathered by Foulby Still Talking) and New York Times (Foulby Still Talking) and also Never Give Up and No Stopping Me Now (fathered by Carromer's Charlie Chalk)
Quite a legacy.

Sad news tonight. Champion Champagne Celebration - "Mimi" - born in February 2007, crossed the Rainbow Bridge today after 4 years and 4 months of a wonderful retirement life accross the lake in Switzerland. Very much cherished by her loving adopters.
The mother of Bubbles, Lollypop and Jewel.
