O.P.I. (No Stopping Me Now of T.W.) was 2nd in Intermediate class on Friday: "Good head proportions, excellent body proportions, good muscle tone, clean coming and going. Temperament a bit soft" (?) On the 2nd day she was 4th: "15 months' old bitch, excellent type, typical feminine head, powerful neck, excellent top-line and underneath, correct coat, balanced angulations, very good forechest. Parallel in movement and in static. Coat in excellent condition. Very good friendly attitude". The 3rd day was in German and I have not had it translated, She was 4th again.

8/09/2018 - NATIONAL D'ELEVAGE (Aubigny-sur Nère)
O.P.I. was 1st in the Junior Bitch class but in the final line up of the CAC winner, Veteran bitch, Junior bitch & Champion bitch for "Best bitch" I had trouble understanding that she was "too immature" to be an effective competitor against the adults when at 10 months at the French K.C. show in June she went Best bitch beating the CAC, CACIB winners. I wouldn't want her to look like a fully developed adult when she's only 13 months !

She's looking terrible - almost completely out of coat (a few tufts left on her croup), been playing in the mud and doesn't like the 33°C (in the shade) even less in full sun (over 50°) being asked to stand correctly. It's a hard life !

NO STOPPING ME NOW (O.P.I.) had her first car-ride - well, just 5 minutes - and an hour"s wait at the vet's to have her booster and her Rabies shots.
I love this first visit because it gives me the raw picture of the puppy's personality, how open he/she is to the unknown outside world, whether he/she shows fear or anxiety. Obviously with O.P.I. there was just avid interest and curiosity and she sat in one of the chairs feeling perfectly at home. The chairs are provided for the dogs, humans can stand. This is a Vet's surgery, no ?

One huge step towards their development - Ist egg custard.
And this morning, at 21 days, they hit the ground (after my finding O.P.I. capable of escalating the whelping box to escape, complete with back-pack and a map of the world !)
They are definitely around a week in advance on just about all the things by which one measures puppies' advancement.
